Trying to earn a living to provide for her family the client provided home health services in rural South Eastern Ohio.  The State of Ohio alleged that in reporting her services that she had committed Medicaid Fraud and filed 3 Felony criminal charges against her.  After successful negotiation of a restitution amount and upon payment of same, the State amended one of the counts to a Misdemeanor and dismissed the remaining felony charges.  She spent no time in jail and was not  required to pay any fine or court costs. This allows the client to continue in her profession and for her to be able to support her family.  In a year's time, she will be able to have the misdemeanor expunged and it will be as though it never happened.
