My Fees Explained
THERE IS NEVER ANY CHARGE FOR AN INITIAL CONSULTATION.
Nearly all criminal defense attorneys charge a flat fee to represent people accused of crimes. This is actually for the benefit of the client, who is aware from the beginning what the legal fee for representation will be. Such flat fees will cover all necessary work that must be performed in order to see a case through to a successful conclusion. There may be additional fees for Jury Trials or Appeals arising out of a case. I inform my clients about these fees at the outset of representation.
Other factors that may affect the legal fee include: seriousness of the offense charged, private investigation, need for assessments and administrative proceedings arising out of the offense charged. I address these matters early in representation so that there are no surprises during the course of representation.
